Merano, between nature and the Middle Ages

Merano - Today we are in Trentino Alto Adige, in the autonomous province of Bolzano, in the capital of the district community of Burgraviato, in Merano. There are many places and monuments of interest. In fact, Merano stands out for its long walks in the countryside, the large parks and the elegant Art Nouveau buildings in the historic center.

Let's find out which ones! Walking through the streets of the oldest part, the one with the most medieval scent, we find the Passeiererer Tor, one of the oldest gates located within the walls. Also in the historical part, we find the famous arcades, 400 meters long which are divided into water and mountain arcades and are one of the most famous areas of Merano for shopping. Then we mention the Wanderlhalle, a long Belle Epoque-style building that embraces the promenade along the Passirio river. And to admire the city from above, we can visit the Powder Tower, where, at an altitude of 28 meters, a viewing platform has been mounted. We still cannot help but immerse ourselves in the wonderful greenery of the Botanical Gardens and take the promenade donated to the famous doctor Tappeiner, the Tappeiner promenade.
