Its position considered strategic then makes the city of Bronzolo still very important for the tourist and non-tourist economy. On the coast of the valley it is possible to admire a reddish and corrosive stone in which the economic excellence of the area resides. During the Austrian domination the bronze porphyry quarries enjoyed a great commercial fortune, the material that was extracted was used to pave the roads of the Empire from Prague to Budapest up to Yugoslavia. The path that leads to the ancient quarries is still practicable from here it is possible to know the quarries, their history and the South Tyrolean Porphyry Society. The material extracted from the quarries was used to pave the historic old town. The Ferraris-Thomsen noble palace located in the center of the town was built in the 19th century and today houses some examples of cedar from Lebanon in the vast garden. Bronzolo bases its economy on the agriculture of apple trees and vines. Typical wines are reds, grown thanks to the mild climate and very fertile soils. The Soini farm deals with the production and sale of apples both as a fruit and as a basic element of juices and sweets. The king of Bronzolo's tables is the beef luganega. The pride of the valley is the cycle path that allows you to enjoy the majestic landscapes that surround the valley and the small town at a slow pace.
