In this square stands the picturesque Church of Saints Rocco and Ambrogio dating back to the seventeenth century inside which there are valuable frescoes. Very beautiful is also the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with its Neoclassical style. It houses an interesting copy of the Holy Shroud which belonged to San Carlo Borromeo. Worthy of note is the Sanctuary of the Pilastrello built in the seventeenth century and an important stop for pilgrims who undertake the Way of St. Augustine. Another religious building to visit is the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie with its gabled façade, the cloister and the small church which houses a valuable fresco depicting the nursing Madonna. There are many farmhouses, farms and factories that make the town prosper. Typical local dessert is the delicious Paciarella Cake.
