Strange presences in the Rocca dei Borgia in Nepi

Nepi - In Nepi there is an ancient castle now in ruins but of great charm, which is called Rocca dei Borgia. This name derives from the fact that in the 15th century the structure was remodeled at the behest of Rodrigo Borgia, whose presence is remembered by two white coats of arms affixed to the two towers. The fortress has in fact two towers, a quadrangular one from the Middle Ages, and a circular one which is more recent but which was probably built on the keep from the Roman era.

Very interesting are the basement of the building, where you can see what remains of the road that led to Umbria and the arches, from Roman and medieval times, which led to the city. Lucrezia Borgia also lived in the castle for a short time after the murder of her husband Alfonso of Aragon. Following some photos taken by two architecture students who were preparing the thesis on the Rocca dei Brogia, we also began to talk about strange presences inside. To this end, the municipality of Nepi has promoted a ghost hunting internship right within the walls of the castle.
