The fortress, of medieval origin, represented the birth of the village which at the time counted only on the castle, while over time the surrounding town has developed and therefore the lower part of the village. The castle also has a church, the only one at the time, the church of San Niccolò. Other places of worship are the Church of San Leonardo and the Oratory of San Terenzio. Among the typical dishes we remember the Testaroli, a type of pasta of poor origin, still very popular today. The village experienced a moment of glory in 2009 when there was a sensational lottery win of 147 million euros. An event that is still remembered today in the village.
