Torreglia, the city, the bishops' villa and nature

Torreglia - We are located in the charming town of Torreglia, which is located in the luxuriant nature of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills. Its territory is divided between plains and hills, making it unique in its kind and giving it particular historical and artistic characteristics. It was born as a village with few inhabitants, its magnificence in fact developed in 1400 when it passed under Venice and patrician villas began to flourish, including the monumental Villa Dei Vescovi which stands on a hill surrounded by mountains, where Tito Livio lived.

In 1500 this villa was then a holiday resort chosen above all by artists and writers of the time. All around the villa there are monuments, churches, elegant villas, such as the Church of San Sabino, the Camaldoree hermitage of Monte Rua and the Castelletto. The latter in particular dominates the landscape from the top of Mount Rua, today, after centuries of looting, wars and barbarism, it hosts cloistered nuns. Of course there is no shortage, for enthusiasts, for trekking and mountain biking trails that cross wonderful natural sites.
