Do not miss the eighteenth-century Santa Maria del Castello; it stands on a hill overlooking the Calabrian-Lucan Apennines. The baroque interior is beautiful. Noteworthy is the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie with an interesting majolica clock from the late eighteenth century. Also worth a visit are the source of San Giuseppe with its many cannoli, the church of the Holy Trinity and above all the convent of San Francesco d'Assisi dating back to 1220. Castrovillari is known for its many overlooks overlooking the unspoiled green surrounding nature. It also houses an archaeological museum.
