Riomaggiore - It is located between the mountains and the sea, the easternmost village of the Cinque Terre, an unmissable destination if we are in Liguria, characterized by colorful houses, lying one on top of the other that almost seem to touch the sky. This town has very ancient origins, just walking through its alleys it is possible to admire the remains of its past, first of all the castle and the medieval houses. (continues below the video)
Here you can take a real dip in time, the Castle, also known as Castellazzo di Cerricò stands on top of a hill, to reach it first of all we come across the Church of San Giovanni Battista, which inside preserves a wooden crucifix of the Maragliano and other works by well-known artists. The most loved and known part of Riomaggiore is certainly the Port, also characterized by colorful boats, to take a dip in the sea just follow that road, get to the Torre di Guardiola and get to where the boats leave. Unmissable is the walk on the Via dell'amore that from Riomaggiore reaches Manarols, a suggestive path carved into the rock overlooking the sea.
