It also came to the fore because it was chosen as a holiday resort by Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI. The town also houses a museum entirely dedicated to Pope John Paul. Next to it is the Chapel of San Lorenzo, where the pope used to pray. Another noteworthy museum is the Maison Bruil, an ethnographic museum located in one of the greatest examples of rural architecture in the Gran Paradiso. It is dedicated to the alpine tradition, a way to take a dip in the past and learn about the traditions. The Maison is also used for food and wine and cultural events. Another place worth visiting is the thirteenth-century castle, known as Castello di Introd, which can still be visited today.
