Pre 'Saint Didier

Pre' Saint Didier - In the Aosta Valley, a few kilometers away that divides Italy from its transalpine cousins, the small village of Pre 'Saint Didier stretches out at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc. The municipality offers a spectacular view to its inhabitants and beyond. There are many sports that can be practiced; the waters that cut the mountain walls are used for rafting, the rock of the paresti is used for climbing but the object of pride is the Adventure Park which allows young and old to have fun in the midst of nature by tackling paths.

The thermal baths of Pre 'Saint Didier are a real jewel of the Valley; outside it is possible to bathe in the heated hydromassage pool in a unique landscape setting, inside it is possible to immerse yourself in the indoor tubs, make tubs with images projected in the dark, rest in the relaxation rooms or take a sauna. During the Christmas period the city is filled with snow and a large tree is mounted in the square as if it were a nativity scene. Colored lights with Christmas designs are projected onto the façade of the church and town hall. The food and wine heritage of Pre 'Saint Didier is very vast and full of taste. Fontina is the cheese par excellence used in all restaurants in the area. The church of San Lorenzo has a 12th century bell tower entirely in stone, the interior contains several valuable works; the baroque altar depicting the statues of San Lorenzo and Dalmazio, a small 16th-century statue depicting the Madonna is kept in a reliquary along with many others. The small church of San Rocco has internal walls covered with paintings by the painter Roncarolo. Visiting Pre 'Saint Didier is visiting a reality designed by nature.
