Roccaforte Mondovì: the quiet and the spectacle of nature just a few steps away

Roccaforte Mondovì - Roccaforte Mondovì is an Italian town in the province of Cuneo. Roccaforte is today a tourist center appreciated for several reasons: first of all the nature and the mountains where you can try your hand at many sports (skiing, trekking, horseback riding) then for the suggestive quiet of the village where you can walk while observing the numerous murals frescoed on the facades of the houses, depicting the ancient crafts and traditions of the place.

Piazza Monsignore Eula is the main square where the church of the Crusade (crusa) is located. Not far from the center is the parish church of San Maurizio, in which cycles of frescoes are preserved which are the last remaining examples of the Romanesque-Byzantine period. Do not forget a visit to the hamlet of Lurisia, known for its thermal waters and the treatment and bottling facilities of this precious source. The baths were discovered during the First World War by chance by Marie Curie, who had instead been sent to the area to discover uranium deposits.
