Discovering the island of Giglio

Isola del Giglio - The Island of Giglio is easily accessible by ferry leaving from Porto Santo Stefano at a price of 14 euros per person or alternatively by loading the car at a cost of 45 euros. Being a rocky island, Giglio has few beaches. Among these, the main one is Cala delle Cannelle where there is a restaurant / pizzeria. Not far away is La Caletta delle Caldane which, compared to the first, is less frequented by tourists and therefore more peaceful.

The Arenella Beach and the Campese Beach are also very beautiful, not to mention the other tiny coves that can only be reached by boat. The Island of Giglio is also a paradise for scuba diving enthusiasts thanks to the spectacular marine flora and fauna and the magnificent submerged caves. Also recommended is the circumnavigation of the island which takes about 3 hours and costs 25 euros per person. There are also various itineraries for trekking enthusiasts. The three inhabited centers, namely Giglio Castello, Giglio Porto and Giglio Campese, are also worth a visit.
