Commissioned by Roberto il Guiscardo in 1080, it was originally formed by three crenellated towers and a drawbridge. A part of the castle was subsequently transformed into a noble palace. Along via Matrice we reach the Mother Church, immersed in a rocky landscape, dating back to 1500. The particular structure of the town makes it unique, its rocky villages are arranged on five levels, all connected by roads and steps, so you can get lost and admire beautiful views. Cave houses were created in the 1500s, houses dug into the stone with their cistern to detect water.
