Melissa, a magical village

Melissa - We are in one of the most beautiful villages on the Calabrian coast, in Melissa. At about 250 meters above sea level, Melissa develops in an area dotted with vines, a symbol of the local agricultural economy. We arrive inside the village from very ancient origins and walk through narrow and steep alleys to get to the upper part of the village where we can admire the church dedicated to San Francesco da Paola.

The building, built in the nineteenth century, consists of a large porch that leads the faithful into the sacred space built on the pre-existing church of Santa Maria dei Francesi, of seventeenth-century origin. Going down to the valley we arrive at Torre Melissa, a place that makes this corner of Calabria unique. Its crystal clear waters and sandy beaches have brought Melissa important awards such as the Blue Flag and the Green Flag. The village is the perfect destination for all those who want to enjoy an unforgettable stay in a magical place under the banner of the sea, nature and relaxation.
