Rimasco and its beautiful lake

Rimasco - Rimasco is located in Piedmont in the province of Vercelli and has only 125 inhabitants. From 1 January it joined with Rima San Giuseppe forming the new municipality of Alto Sermenza. Rimasco is therefore located in Val Sermenza where the Sermenza and Egua streams join. In 1925 a dam was created downstream of the town which created a small artificial lake called Lake Rimasco whose waters are used to power a hydroelectric plant in Fervento.

Very small trout and other types of fish are found in its waters. Sport fishing is therefore practiced in the lake. A part of the territory of the municipality of Rimasco is part of the Alta Valtesia natural park. Every year, on August 16, a typical festival is organized in the village, the Miaccia festival which is precisely the typical dish of this beautiful area. In 2014, an impressive one kilometer long fun Bob was created which starts from the Alpe Campo refuge and arrives at the valley station of the town's two-seater chairlift.
