Canonica d'Adda - Along the green banks bathed by the waters of the Adda, we find in the municipality of Canonica d'Adda. Important since ancient times as an obligatory crossing point between Milan and Venice and between Venice and Bergamo, so much so that the first bridge in history over the Adda was built in Canonica. Among the medieval buildings, we admire the beautiful Church of Santa Maria in Pratica, also known as Sant'Anna and dating back to the thirteenth century.

Recently restored, today it hosts interesting exhibitions and cultural events. In addition to the artistic and architectural beauties, Canonica d'Adda is a place of great naturalistic importance. Countless cycle paths and trails run along the banks of the Adda. The beauty of this stretch of river, performs numerous sketches and paintings. Imposing stately villas paint the banks of Canonica. We are going to visit Villa Pagnoni, which appears in its present form following an important restoration which took place between the 19th and 20th centuries. The complex evokes different historical eras, referring to Gothic, Arab, Medieval, Romanesque and Baroque structures and the immense garden that surrounds it offers breathtaking views.
