A village around a road

Vicolungo - Among the rice fields, the green and wonderful views of the Novara plateau, there is a modest village of about 800 inhabitants, with a very ancient history and an equally timeless charm: Vicolungo. Its name probably derives from the only main road that crosses the surrounding buildings and attractions. The village has remained uncontaminated for many years, it is a very ancient reality as it was mentioned in a legislative document dated 962 AD. The entire Vicolungo is therefore a prestigious and unchanged artistic heritage. It is worth noting sacred attractions such as the Church of Santa Caterina and San Rocco, the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Oratories of San Martino and San Sebastiano. They symbolize the authenticity and religiosity of the village. The whole is then surrounded by fortified complexes belonging to the medieval era: the 'Palazzi' and above all the Vicolungo Castle. They testify to the charm of a small but complete inhabited center, which offers tourists a leap into the past, as well as many pleasant services such as the unique 'Outlet the Style' shopping center.
