A breathtaking view can be enjoyed on a terrace overlooking the Sienese keep, a fortification that symbolized the victory of Siena over Massa Marittima and prevented rebellions. It is also possible to participate in guided tours to discover the many natural caves, and canals dating back to 1200, designed to bring water to the city. In the city there is also the first religious building of the Metalliferous Hills: the Cathedral of San Cerbone, in Romanesque style, houses great works of art. Bike and nature lovers can indulge themselves here with the many routes created by local associations, a different way of discovering the Maremma hills. Among the typical local dishes we remember the 'Maremma tortelli' made with raw and rustic flours of the area. In addition of course to wine, cheeses and cured meats.
