Arquà Petrarca - Visiting Arquà Petrarca is equivalent to discovering one of the most beautiful villages in Veneto and Italy. From the entrance, walking through a green and characteristic park, the tourist is welcomed in a medieval atmosphere. The village undoubtedly represents a dip in the past and this is confirmed by attractions also linked to the legendary poet Francesco Petrarca, who spent the last years of his life in this citadel (hence the name Arquà 'Petrarca'). Centers such as the Loggia dei Vicari or the Oratory of the Holy Trinity, in addition to having been significant for the life of the 'graduate' poet, are interesting monuments to visit and witnesses of a different era and culture. Once in Arquà, one cannot miss the discovery of Petrarch's last home: Petrarca's house, even if based on timetables and a precise protocol, is open to everyone, all year round. The citadel, however, is a small glimpse of natural as well as cultural paradise, it can be seen from the breathtaking view that can be seen climbing the staircase in the center of the town. Between a unique walk and a few stops at the numerous local wine bars, Arquà Petrarca offers anyone who visits it a dip in a past that is perfectly linked to the present.
