Famous for its free spas including the one that exploits the waters of the Bulicame river, mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy. It is also considered the city of fountains and towers, both of which are abundantly present. Obviously the best known monument is the Papal palace which hosted the Popes for 24 years and saw the birth of the conclave tradition. The zaffera is the typical ceramic of Viterbo, blue and in relief. Of ancient tradition is the feast of Santa Rosa, patron saint of the city, in which 100 men support the 'machine' of Santa Rosa which is used to hoist the statue of the Saint. It is considered an intangible heritage of humanity.
