Monsummano Terme, Val di Nievole

Monsummano Terme - We are located in Tuscany, above the Pistoia hills, in the territory of the Val di Nievole, in Monsummano Terme. Among the green hills made of olive trees and vines, in an enchanted place made of unspoiled nature and sites of art and history. A territory divided between the Fucecchio marshes and Montalbano, from which illustrious names such as Leonardo Da Vinci are born.

One of the most important localities in the Val di Nievole, known as the lower city. The history of the city has its roots in what was once the history of the castle of Monsummano alto, its magnificent, perched and suggestive remains can still be visited today. The city was founded in 1602 by the grand duchy. With the villa of Montevettolini, the Sanctuary of the Madonna Nuova, as a symbol of the city. The Museum of the territory which houses and shows the history of the city and the other two structures, the Museum of Casa Giusti and the National Museum of Casa Martini, which house many works of art.
