To confirm this are precisely the buildings that are found there, such as the Clock Tower, the church of San Michele, built in 1403 and made of gray stone, red and white marble, and the church of San Pietro, which appears to be the oldest in the village and the medieval castle, still intact, whose most imposing point is La Rocca. At the center of the village stands a small square, also known as the castle square, from which you can walk towards the main street of the village, via Roma and, subsequently, reach via della Rimembranza, so called in honor of the fallen of the First World War . In short, Castiglione di Garfagnana is nothing more than the perfect destination for lovers of history and art.
