The festival has been a big party event for the past seventy years (the first edition dates back to 1950) and involves hundreds of thousands of people. Seaside tourism can be carried out in the numerous establishments or on free beaches, such as the beach of Torre Flavia or at Marina di San Nicola. In Palo, a hamlet of Ladispoli, we can find the beautiful Natural Oasis of Bosco di Palo, as well as one of the most beautiful buildings on the Lazio coast: the Castle of Palo. This quadrangular fortress dates back to the 12th century and is majestic, close to the sea. Another ancient building that deserves a visit is the Castellaccio dei Monteroni, a fortified farmhouse located not far from the Etruscan necropolis of Monteroni.
