The festival of Pisi, in Baone

Baone - Today we are in the province of Padua, in Baone. We are here to participate in the Bisi festival which represents, as well as for the inhabitants of Baone, a unique opportunity and a moment of encounter for the enhancement of the territory. The party is one of the most important; an excellence of the Paduan territory that serves to make known, outside the Paduan borders, the first fruits and the excellence of the territory.

The pisi, in dialect, are the famous 'peas', which represent a legume with incredible peculiarities, especially from a nutritional point of view. The collection and preparation has been handed down for years, right from the housewives. During the Pisi festival it will therefore be possible to taste different dishes, all based on the famous product; we will therefore see how the pea is associated with cereals and carbohydrates, such as the famous 'risi e bisi'. The Baonesi will bring to the table the traditions handed down from family to family. In addition, the winner of the best pisi producer will be announced during the festival.
