Incredibly, the Island of Giglio

Isola del Giglio - We are in Tuscany, in the province of Grosseto and today we are going to visit the wonderful Isola del Giglio. We reach the island passing along the entire Argentario coast, which gives us breathtaking views. The port of Giglio is truly peculiar: we admire the small port surrounded by colorful, very picturesque houses. The main localities of the island are Giglio Porto, Giglio Campese and Giglio Castello, the remaining areas are more naturalistic and characterized purely by beaches and coves.

We begin our journey by visiting Giglio Campese: once we arrive along the main beach we visit the famous tower, red and white, from which it is possible to admire unique views. We continue continuing towards Giglio Castello, perhaps the oldest part of the island; we find a medieval village perched within the medieval walls that dominate the sea. Here too, we can admire spectacular views. Inside the village we visit the Church of San Pietro, famous for the treasure of Pope Innocent XIII and the relics of the protector of the island are kept inside. Before leaving this wonderful piece of Paradise, we walk among the coves, admiring the beauty of the crystal clear water.
