Scurati. - In the surroundings of the marine coast, you can visit the site that recounts the times of the upper Paleolithic in an enchanted setting of cacti, prickly pears and dry stone walls. Two scholars took turns in their research: Guido della Rosa, in 1870 and Raimond Vaufrey in 1925. From their work, animal teeth and bones, worked flints, obsidians, paintings and rock graffiti emerged, almost all transferred to the Museum of Trapani and the Ethno Museum.

Behind the cave, 70 meters high and 50 meters deep, houses, workshops and stables were built, which belonged to the Mangiapane family until the end of the Second World War, when the village was abandoned and used only as a shelter for animals. The Custonacense community has renovated the rooms, respecting the original vocation of the premises, allowing you to know and relive ancient crafts, thanks to the realistic set-up. The courtyard animals and the natural rock garden give us an appointment on Christmas days, when the houses are inhabited by the characters of the Living Nativity.
