Visitors are particularly attracted to the three nature reserves in this area which can be visited on foot or by boat. There is also a maritime public transport service that connects the town to the seaside resort of Lignano Sabbiadoro. Much appreciated is the local fish for its freshness and very high quality. It can be consumed in the various restaurants in Marano or purchased directly from street vendors.
