Rocca Mandolfi

Rocca mandolfi - We are in Roccamandolfi, on the Molise mountains, in this village surrounded by greenery guarding the peaks of the Matese, where you can retrace the paths of the brigands immersing yourself in the history and ancient flavors of the past. Its name is of Lombard derivation, Rocca di Maginulfo, belonging to the royal family, at the end of the 9th century.

This village, rich in historical and natural beauties, is perched around the churches, with its characteristic arcades, fountains, still cobbled alley. To visit is the Sanctuary of San Liberato and the Croce Viaria, located under a Renaissance arch. Next to it we find the natural area of the Callora stream, in fact, Rocca Mandolfi is ideal for those who love trekking, canyoning, Nordic skiing and excursions. Along the evocative route we find the Lombard castle, and through woods and streams we can reach the Tibetan Bridge, a masterpiece of engineering and metal carpentry, suspended in the void above the rocky landscape characterized by the canyon carved by the Callora river.
