The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is the most important religious building, where Costanza di Chiaramonte is buried together with her second husband Andrea de Capua. Costanza di Chiaromonte was the daughter of Manfredi, count of Modica and Ragusa and half of Sicily. It was therefore a marriage of interest between Costanza and Ladislao di Durazzo, king of Naples who allowed the latter to continue the war against the Angevins. But after two years the Costanza family fell into disgrace and Costanza was repudiated with the consent of Pope Boniface IX. Constance was confined to Gaeta until she married Andrea de Capua, but not forgetting that she had been queen, proudly in the public square she said to her consort: also boast that you have your king's wife as a concubine.
