Frascati, Grottaferrata. - Dominating the city of Frascati, Villa Aldobrandini, which was built from 1558 to 1602 by Cardinal Aldobrandini, nephew of the Pope. In the bright rooms you can visit the finds of the Roman villas, the art collection of the Abbots and the ancient entrance portal, built by articulating fragments of the Roman era. Finally, the Church of Santa Maria preserves the original structure of the twelfth century. Of this you can admire the bell tower with five series of three-light windows and with polychrome tiles and the Cripta Ferrata, with the candle holder that illuminates the rocky altar.
