Loreto Aprutino - Loreto Aprutino is an Abruzzese town in the province of Pescara, rich in tradition and history, which is part of the national association 'city of oil'; in fact, it is possible to visit the Oil Museum, which allows you to make a journey through the preparation of oil over the centuries, seeing for example the Festini, used by the Romans.

Near the museum there is the regional oil cellar that tells the tradition of the local oil. Famous for the food and wine of the area, some of the typical dishes are: Abruzzo-style guitar with meatballs; pumpkin and round beans; vegetables and beans; tagliarelli with beans; finally, the Cassatielli, ravioli with local cheeses inside. The round beans of the Tavo river, exclusive to this territory, recur in almost all the typical dishes. In Loreto Aprutino there are many popular traditions, including the feast of the patron saint San Sopito, in which an ox ridden by a child dressed as an angel kneels in front of the statue of the saint. Considered a historic city of art, Loreto offers a beautiful path inside its historic center; starting with the church of San Pietro Apostolo, rebuilt in 1551; continuing to the Gallery of Ancient Abruzzese Ceramics, also visit the botanical garden and unmissable the abbey church of Santa Maria in Piana and the Norman Chiola Castle.
