Cortemilia - Roman artifacts have been found near the tower that stands in the area, Borgo San Michele, where a Roman army camp was set up in 118 BC. C from which Cohors Aemilia originates. Here, as if out of the time machine, the medieval costumes of the villagers and the sumptuous ones of the Del Carretto family, which had its properties here, parade.

Duels, hand-to-hand fights and dances with fire enter the scene in the evening, while in the streets the best delicacies prepared with hazelnuts are put on the field. The second protagonist after the historic buildings is in fact the Piedmontese hazelnut which has its production center here. For the re-enactment, breads mixed with hazelnut flour are baked, as well as ice cream waffles and the toasted hazelnuts themselves. A small town goes down the street to offer you the best it produces and collects. Black truffles are finely sliced on risotto or sold by weight on scales. During the walk you can admire the 16th century fresco of the Madonna with Child and the bas-relief with the annunciation on the door of Casa Molinari.
