How to get acquainted with the deer of the Mesola Wood

Mesola - Mesola is not only a charming village in the Comacchio Valleys, where the ancient castle is located and where a festival dedicated to the typical product of the area, the asparagus, takes place. Near the inhabited center there is a wood, precisely called Bosco di Mesola, which represents one of the most important forest patches of the plains that exist in Italy.

This wood is also a protected area, as, truly exceptional, many wild deer still live among its trees. Deer are free to move, reproduce and live according to their nature. At the same time, however, they are protected and protected so that no one harms them. Visitors can get to know them. There are two ways to visit the forest. Part of it is free and can be explored on foot or by bicycle. Then there is an area that can only be accessed with guides, or with a silent van or with bikes, to try and screw the deer.
