The village of Bagnacavallo

Bagnacavallo - Bagnacavallo is a town located in the province of Ravenna and can be considered a real artistic-architectural jewel that still has its appearance of a typical village of the Romagna plain. The village has a typically medieval historic center overlooked by several buildings dating back to the seventeenth century. The heart of Bagnacavallo is Piazza Nuova, located in the middle of the historic center and dating back to the 18th century; it is surrounded by a portico with thirty arches which still today represents the beating heart of the center.

Another central point is Piazza della Libertà, where it is possible to admire the Goldoni Theater, the Town Hall and the Civic Tower. Among the noteworthy attractions are the Castellaccio, the Church of San Giovanni and the marvelous Romanesque parish church of San Pietro in Sylvis, which features precious 6th century marbles. The wonders, however, are not only of artistic matrix, in fact there is a natural heritage for the catkins of nature which can stop at Podere Pantaleone, a real naturalistic oasis where it is possible to admire a multitude of species of flowers.
