Walking through the Argenta Valleys

Argenta - Argenta is a municipality located in the province of Ferrara, in Emilia-Romagna. In the video we are offered a tour aimed at discovering the Argenta valleys, a naturalistic excursion that will allow you to admire the main features of this place such as the Bosco di Traversante and the freshwater marshes as well as the plants and animals that populate these areas.

The Museo delle Valli di Argente is the gateway to the valleys; is a historical museum that describes the history, culture and traditions of the area through images and objects. The ground floor is dedicated to history while the upper floor is dedicated to the description of the natural characteristics of the surrounding area. The territory was once surrounded by marshy areas, in fact there was then a hydraulic reclamation work which is documented in the historical section of the museum. It is an area of 1,600 hectares where the naturalistic emergencies consist in particular of wetlands of fresh water that have developed within the expansion tanks, and a lowland forest that extends for about 200 hectares.
