Castagneto Carducci - Nestled between lush nature and sandy beaches, Castagneto Carducci stands on the top of a hill on the Etruscan coast. This town in Tuscany has ancient origins and is home to three hamlets: Donoratico, Bolgheri and Marina di Castagneto. The name of the town in 1907 was associated with the poet Giosuè Carducci who stayed as a teenager in this land so as to remain deeply attached to it.

In one of the streets is the house that housed him between 1848 and 1949, which has now become the city museum. The inhabited center develops from the year 1000 around its imposing castle with a concentric ring pattern, here along characteristic cobbled streets between picturesque corners rich in history you reach the church of San Lorenzo with its particular access ramp. The ancient Palazzo Pretorio is the seat of the town hall to make it special is above all its red brick tower that flanks it. In the hamlet of Bolgheri there is the famous avenue of cypresses which leads to a farm that has remained almost intact since its birth, linked above all to commercial activities and food and wine. The city has been known for over 30 years for its wines and its olive trees even if the spearhead of Bolgheri is the castle. The faction of Marina di Castagneto is the place of great tourist attraction with its pine vaults and its wide beach that welcomes tourists with its splendid beaches and the ancient military fort that dominates it. Once a place to defend the city from pirate attacks, today it represents the perfect combination of man and nature. In Marina di Castagneto there is also one of the largest amusement parks in Tuscany: 'Il Cavallino Matto'.
