It was built in Lombard Romanesque style and dedicated precisely to San Gaudenzio, the first bishop of Novara. As we can admire, the Romanesque façade is made of stone and the central portal is surmounted by a rose window; Next to the portal, on the right, there is the fresco depicting San Cristoforo, dating back to 1542. The structure has a central nave and two side aisles in Gothic style; The bell tower has a square base and the tower measures 31 meters in height. Inside we note the width of the church with five naves, divided between them by four series of different columns; the aisles are made up of 10 frescoed cruises. Beyond the main altar, there are seven side altars. At the bottom of the eastern nave there is the Baptistery. In the right aisle we can admire the Chapel of the Madonna del Rosario, in which there are several frescoes dedicated to the life of the Madonna. In the presbytery on the right, we admire the Crucifixion, the work of Antonio Zanetti known as Bugnate, while below the figures of Adam and Eve; on the vault the dragon of the Apocalypse is depicted. The cross of the presbytery is enclosed by three finely frescoed arches.
