August Aviglianese, an unmissable event

Avigliano Umbro - Avigliano Umbro is a small town of 2441 inhabitants in the province of Terni. Here every year an important event takes place that lasts about 15 days and in which many volunteers participate: the August Aviglianese. In this event various culinary and musical themed activities take place that attract thousands of people from all over the Terni area.

Among the main attractions are the White Night during which various rock, folk and reggae groups perform and the Expolabor that is an exhibition market in which various exhibition stands are set up regarding local handicraft products. There is no shortage of dance evenings and during the event it is also possible to try your hand at a particular weightlifting sport suitable for all ages: the Kettlebell. Another protagonist of the event is the food that is served at long tables to all citizens. Among the dishes that can be tasted there are bruschetta, pizzas, mixed meats and manfricoli. The latter are a typical Umbrian pasta that is seasoned with different sauces, in particular with pork ragout.
