The colossal silver firs.

Serra San Bruno. - Located in the Serre Regional Park, the wood, called Archiforo, developed naturally by dissemination and contains ancient silver firs, which can reach 55 m. The seeds of these trees, collected in October, contribute to the reforestation of areas across Europe. On the side of Monte Pietra del Caricatore, the fir forest joins the beech forest at the highest altitudes and is home to many animals, including wild cats and wild boars.

The park authority has scrupulously mapped the paths, making it possible to reach destinations such as the megalithic village, consisting of granite and quartz boulders aligned for reading astronomical motion. Inside the park there is the Rosarella nursery where children can get to know real natural environments, such as the pond and the swamp, and carry out environmental educational activities by transplanting the seedlings. It is also planned to upgrade the cycle path of the parks that connects the Ionian Sea to the Tyrrhenian by cutting Calabria through its beautiful nature reserves.
