Monte Due Mani - Are you on holiday on Lake Como and want to go trekking on a panoramic peak, attracting your children to the original bivouac destination in a unique place? All this exists and is called Bivacco Locatelli, at an altitude of 1557 m on Monte Due Mani. Built in fiberglass, the igloo bivouac is managed by the Alpine group of Valsassina, which supplies it with supplies, cleans it and keeps the table and benches in order. (continues below the video)
This peak, a fantastic viewpoint of the lake and surrounding ridges such as Le Grigne and Resegone, can be reached from Ballabio, in the locality of Casere di Maggio. The climb is challenging and includes 860m of elevation gain and an average duration of 5 hours, but the viewpoint offers a truly rewarding view! You first reach La Foppa, La Verna and the Zucco di Fesie, from which you can admire Mount Coltiglione and Lake Lecco. After the wooded stretch, continue along the ridge to the sharp peak and the imposing cross. After stopping in the structure, with porthole windows that enrich the enthusiasm of the view, you can go down to Bocchetta di Fesia, to complete the ring.
