Differences and similarities between the banks of the Tronto

Martinsicuro - In Martinsicuro in 2021 the third edition of the event 'tra le sponde del Tronto' was held. Martinsicuro is a town located between Marche and Abruzzo, regions that are very different but also have many similarities. For the 2021 edition we wanted to compare two cities and two typical crafts. For Abruzzo the center taken into consideration was Castelli, seat of an ancient tradition of potters.

For the Marche there was Offida, which is considered the capital of bobbin lace. In addition to the events that took place in the Carlo V tower in Martinsicuro itself, guided visits were organized to Castelli and its ceramic museum, and to Offida, in order to get to know its innumerable artistic and architectural beauties. If Castelli ceramics can be considered unique, with its 500 years of history, bobbin lace is actually widespread throughout the Italian territory. However, each region uses different tools. As part of the event, there was also talk of typical products, such as cooked must, forerunner of balsamic vinegar.
