Vittorio Veneto - Vittorio Veneto is a town of about 27200 inhabitants located 42 km north of Treviso in the province of the same name at the foot of the Pre-Alps. The city, located at 138 m. Sl M, is the result of the merger in 1867 of the pre-existing municipalities of Cèneda, expression of religious power and bishopric, in the southern flat part, and Serravalle, a village in which economic power was concentrated, further north in the hilly area.

The original name of the center was Vittorio in honor of the sovereign Vittorio Emanuele II, then transformed into Vittorio Veneto after the victory of the Italian army over the Austrian one on November 3, 1918 which effectively ended the First World War. The prestige of the city is linked to the Italian enterprises in the two wars that earned it decorations for military valor such as the Cross of Merit and the Gold Medal, but also for having had Albino Luciani as bishop from 1958 to 1969, later elected Pope for the short pontificate of 1978 with the name of John Paul I. The heart of the village is the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and San Tiziano Vescovo. Of ancient origins, and destroyed several times, it was definitively restored in 1773 in neoclassical style.The bell tower, which was originally a defense tower, is one of the few remaining parts of the ancient church, for this reason it is in Romanesque style. Also of great interest are the three city museums, the Cenedese Museum, which houses Neolithic finds, the Museum of the Battle of Vittorio Veneto, the most complete on the First World War, and the Silk Worm Museum, which tells the story of an important economic reality in the area from the 1800s to the 1960s offers an articulated range of didactic paths conceived and implemented by university-trained personnel.
