The tourist perspectives of the Isarco Valley

Valle dell'Isarco - The Isarco Valley can be seen from two different but complementary perspectives. The first could be defined as 'perspective from the south'. This is in fact the last Italian territory in which it is still possible, for climatic reasons, to cultivate vineyards. From the valley come some excellent white wines, recognized as national excellence also by the prestigious Gambero Rosso.

The perspective 'from the north' is that of tourists and visitors who come from Austria via the Brenner. The Isarco Valley is the first truly 'Italian' territory, where the Alpine climate is combined with the Mediterranean one. Those who come here from abroad want above all to enjoy the naturalistic beauties, especially the landscapes of the Dolomites declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. But he also wants to taste the typical products, such as the typical ravioli stuffed with spinach called Schlutzkrapfen. In the future it is hoped that tourist flows will increase thanks to high-speed trains, which according to Hannes Waldmuller, who was director of the Valle Isarco Consortium in 2016, would make the valley the outpost of Munich.
