Albergo La Vela

Sailing courses are programmed during summer with Ventotene Sailing club. Car service included. La Vela Hotel offers special prices during the whole year for family holidays, organized groups, schools and youngsters. During the academic year, La Vela hosts students for Naturalistic and sailing school camps. La Vela hotel is used for long holidays along with sailing courses, special programs, and learning trips. Special prices are available for these on request activities.

Where We are

Ventotene Island belong to the province of Latina far away from the coasts of Lazio and Campania. The main way to reach the island is through the harbor of Formia by the Ferry. The closest airports to Ventotene are Rome airport (www.adr.it) and Naples airport (www.gesac.it); public means (Train and taxi) are available to reach boarding points of Formia and Naples.
Reaching Formia by train is Very comfortable (www.trenitalia.com) Trains from Rome and Naples leave every hour, the trip takes about an hour, than 10 minutes of walking or by taxi (10 €) to reach the boarding location.
It is also possible to get to Formia through Roma-Napoli Highway, than leaving the highway at Cassino and following the highway to Formia (around 30 km).
Ventotene Island is a nature paradise, with tiny streets and a very limited traffic during the summer season: If you arrive by car, please leave it parked in Formia. A car pick up and return service is available at Formia Harbor.
It is also possible to reach the island from Ponza, Ischia, Naples and Terracina during summer
